Upright steamers you hold against hanging clothes. Fill the tank, wait for steam, and run the head down a shirt or dress while it stays on the hanger. OGHom makes three: the kettle-style HL6 with the largest tank, the fast-heating GH01 travel steamer, and the foldable GH05.

The newer OGHom steamers (GH01, GH03, GH07 and GH08) are ready in about 20 seconds, and the GH02 and GH05 in about 30. That is quick enough to fix a shirt on the way out the door. The original HL6 works like a small kettle and takes longer to boil, but then steams for about 15 minutes on one fill.
Most OGHom steamers are built for 110–120V outlets only, for the US, Canada and Japan. The GH02 is the exception. It runs on 110–240V, 50/60 Hz, so it only needs a plug adapter rated above 1000W in Europe, the UK or Asia. Don't use a voltage converter.
The GH02, GH03, GH07 and GH08 add a heated soleplate to the steam head. Hold them upright to steam a dress on its hanger. Turn the handle and lay them flat on a bed or board to press collars, cuffs and seams, which a plain steamer can't do.
OGHom lists cotton, linen, polyester, wool, silk, chiffon and nylon as safe to steam. Delicates do best with the steam head held just off the fabric. On the 2-in-1 models, use a thin cloth between the soleplate and silk or cashmere. The GH03 and GH08 have dedicated fabric settings.

On the GH01 and GH05, pull the tank straight out of the base. On the GH02, press the button and it pops out. The HL6 and the 2-in-1 irons fill through a cap on the body.
Use distilled or purified water from the included cup, and stop below the MAX mark. Overfilling makes the steamer spit. Never add perfume, essential oils or detergent.
Wait until it is fully hot before using steam: about 20 seconds on the GH01, GH03, GH07 and GH08, 30 seconds on the GH02 and GH05, and longer on the kettle-style HL6. On the GH01, the blue light stops flashing when it is ready.
Hang the garment, pull the fabric lightly taut, and move the head slowly from top to bottom. Keep the steamer upright and don't tip it onto its side, or water can spurt out.
On the GH02, GH03, GH07 and GH08, lay the garment flat and glide the soleplate over collars, cuffs and seams. Always set the hot iron down on its heat-resistant side or pad.
Unplug, let it cool, and pour out the leftover water before storing it. This keeps scale and odors from building up inside.

It's lightweight but holds enough water to easily steam several shirts with one fill. It's quiet and heats up quickly. I have a tiny washroom but just put my garment on a hanger on the back of the door and can get a long dress wrinkle free in less than 5 minutes.
I was a little skeptical because it's small, but I did like 6-7 adult size shirts/dresses without having to refill the water canister. It was easy to use, quiet, and heated up pretty quickly. I like that I could travel with this if I wanted to and it is easy to store in a cupboard.

OGHom's instructions call for distilled or purified water, filled below the MAX line. Never add perfume, essential oils or detergent. After each use, empty the tank. Once a month, descale with a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water, then run plain water through it a few times.
